We are Easy IT, proud to be competitive in the South African IT market. We were founded in 1998, at the dawn of an age in which the IT industry would flourish like never before.
Over the years, we expanded our horizons (primarily driven by our ever growing customer base and their associated needs) from a hardware only supplier to a fully fledged value added IT service provider. This is a trait that we are proud to say still features today, we adapt and expand as our customers require.
Our core expertise and services has grown to include amongst others: web hosting and web services, off-site managed backups, network security and firewalling, internet connectivity, support and maintenance, custom software and web development, networking and collaboration, VPN connectivity, remote office solutions, hardware and software procurement, project management and many, many more.
We were also fortunate to become involved during the early uptake of open source solutions and are therefore very well positioned to provide businesses with complete "alternative" open source implementations or hybrid solutions as required.
We have grown from a dream to a fully-fledged company with structure, discipline and endurance.
We currently strive to fulfill the entire spectrum of IT needs (Associated with small and medium enterprise) and we are dedicated to our customers and endeavour to provide them with the highest quality and most cost effective products, systems and services.

Even though the products and services we provide are excessively diverse, we focus on various key aspects.
Firstly we design, implement and maintain and support medium to large scale business networked infrastructures while encompassing all aspects related thereto. This in itself is an almost immeasurable broad spectrum, enabling us to proudly state that we can offer a true end-to-end solution. Secondly, we provide a large range of value added services catered around the needs of the above mentioned and various more niche-like implementations.
Some of our more diverse endeavours include the secure provisioning of high speed shared internet access to commercial and residential complexes and the design, implementation and maintenance of a distributed work force solution with central collaboration servers via secured remote connections.
We do however believe that we are able to source, implement and maintain any hardware or software platform locally available and are well positioned to adapt to any need a customer might have.
Some technologies we employ are proprietary to us as it helps us provide the best possible solutions to our customers and it distinguishes us from our competitors. Similarly, various solutions are proprietary to each individual customer as it suits their needs best.
Our services are completely scalable and dynamic in the sense that they change as the situation requires. We do however use a modular approach whereby we use proven technologies and procedures as part of each solution. We constantly develop and expand our product range and procedures to ensure stability, reliability and performance - while working hard at keeping costs and specifically the total cost of ownership to the customer, as low as possible.
We focus on transparency to the end user and react to changing needs and technologies, to ensure that the customer sees a faster return on capital, has an easier IT experience and has room for both growth and change.
It is evident that we are committed to supporting our products and solutions, we adhere to high quality control procedures and we strive to provide the best possible service in a service lacking society.

We have recently designed and implemented high speed internet connectivity for a 120 unit apartment complex; designed, implemented and support an online collaborative networked infrastructure for medium sized enterprise of 80+ employees in 4 geographically separate branch offices employing various technologies such as: point to point VPN, centralized mail and collaboration storage, online automated backups, internet enabled database applications, complete network security and overall redundancy and disaster prevention.
Our range of skills and expertise are (fortunately) too broad and deep to list here but we can comment on the fact that the minimum hands-on experience for any technician in the field is at least one year with our highest being 22 years in 2009. We draw great strength in collaborating our knowledge - effectively multiplying any employees experience level and have a cumulative experience of 134 years.
We also draw great pride from the fact that there is no IT task or project we are not willing to approach.
Employee overview / Footprint / Turn around times
We currently have 8 permanent employees based at our base of operations in the Western Cape as well as 5 permanent contractors. Permanent staff tend to the technical, admin, management and financial requirements while the contractors fill in the gaps as needed.
Our support and installation base is expanded by both newer remote connectivity technologies as well as our long term affiliates concentrated to the greater Gauteng region. All operational contact and management is however handled by our Western Cape branch providing the customer with one efficient point of contact.
Our turn around times are generally considered as faster than the norm in this industry, We do also employ secure remote connections to all SLA customers enabling us to cost effectively resolve almost all problems at an accelerated rate.

We supply and support a very broad range of hardware and software products - even trying to list them here would be nonsensical.
We also import solutions should they not be locally available and always endeavour to assist the customer with any requirement they may have.
Our more recognized products range from major brands such as Dell to relatively obscure brands such as Sunix and we cover the entire spectrum from Servers, PC's to Macintosh, Printers, consumables and even specialized software solutions such as Linux based mail collaboration suites.
Our standard warranty ranges include a 3 year "carry in", limited lifetime to manufacturer next business day "on-site" warranties.
Perhaps important to note here, is the fact that we only supply hardware that that has a full ISO 9002 quality history and we also follow very stringent quality control procedures and checks in our workshop environment. This might drive costs to the end user slightly upward, but in our years of experience, we have seen the reliability it brings to the table.
